Varna: The context of varna that I am implying here is; the four varnas - the guide, the leader, the creator, and the maker.

In my last blog, I mentioned a field that I chose and that eventually couldn't follow.

In 2018 I finished my master's degree. Later that year I joined a course to crack one of the national exams for lectureship and Ph.D. entrance, only to find out that I have zero interest in cracking those exams. The very next year in 2019 July I joined as a guest lecturer in the district. Where I also found another opportunity to be a guest lecturer simultaneously in another degree college. Well, till 2020 when COVID took over I worked in both colleges. That was such a good phase in my life, of course, traveling was a hard part. But still, I enjoyed teaching and learning in both colleges.

After 1st wave of COVID-19 in November 2020 I got married and things started to get normal and I once again started to work. It was February 2021 the academic year closed. In March 2021 I was pregnant. Things got a little serious ( it's a story for another blog) and I had to stay in bed. That was the time where the second wave was at its peak and we were giving online classes. Nevertheless, eventually, due to some more serious issues with my pregnancy,  I  was put on complete bed rest and I had to quit my job.

2021 October 24th my baby boy was born and a new chapter in my life began; motherhood. End of November 2022 I joined another per-university college; a new type of teaching, new experiences new learnings, etc., but that was just an experiment to see how my son would cope with me being not available for a big chunk of the day. He took it well, thanks to my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law. Once the academics came to an end in February. My husband and I were planning to settle down in one place and be a family 👪 . So later that year we shifted to blog. This phase was very hard for me as well as my son. He missed his grandparents and there were barely any kids to play with him. Before he could glue completely to the screens we decided to join him at a play school. Fortunately, there was a school, which was near and we loved it. So he started to go to school and I was locked. What do I mean by locked? I mean, I lost the option to go out and teach.

Meanwhile, on the 2019 12th of February, I started a side journey called content creation. The same day my YouTube channel was launched. Of course, I wasn't consistent I was on and off until now. Why wasn't I consistent? The answer is mainly because of self-doubt. But hey, guess what I don't want to look back or stop now. I want to keep going. Now I have shut all the doors and the only focus is content creation. I never want to give up. This is a determination to make that 16-year-old Deeksha proud.

I still don't know what kind of varna I should follow. But I want to give my best to this varna and see what magic happens.

So what is your varna? Comment below. Share with your friends and ask what their varna is!

Until next time,

Lots of love,

Deeksha.
