This is a letter to myself in my teenage and early 20s.

Hi DEEKSHA,

This is you in your late 20s. First of all, how are you? secondly, I am proud of you. Today I want to tell you 5 things that I wish you knew.

1. Self-awareness

Be aware of what you are doing, who you are with, and what's happening with your health?!

Remember, if you hurt yourself physically your mental health gets messed up and vice versa.

2. Love and respect your parents

No matter what parents and siblings are the ones who will stick to you all the time and till the end. Just shut your mouth and listen to them... Even if you don't agree just listen. Be brave enough to keep away those people who rage you against your own family.

3. Give your best

It doesn't matter if you are average or just above average, just give your 100% and make yourself proud of your hard work.

4. Love should be transparent

I am so proud of you that you kept your love life transparent with your parents and with yourself. I am proud that you stood up for yourself and walked out graciously.

Something that I would ask you to do here is; "Please keep your personal life out of your professional life"! Don't worry your still struggling a little bit in that.

5.  Look for the source of income

Now you are approaching adulthood soon so you want to earn some money for your studies and your pocket money. It's high time you give your parents a break and eventually start to bear your expenses. Look for part-time jobs or maybe plan and figure out what you will be doing after your college.

So what do you want to tell your teenage self? Comment down.

Lots of love,

Deeksha
